Edward Sant was born in Warren, Ohio, in 1960. His upbringing was one of suburban status quo during the heyday of mid-century prosperity. Due to later economic challenges of the area (that became known as the “Rust Belt”), his family moved to Danville, Illinois when he was in High School. A lover if hills and rolling vistas, the flatness of the Midwest was at first foreign and ugly to him. As time wore on, he gradually learned to embrace and love the wide expanses and vast vistas that only the Prairie area could offer.

After years of retail and stints in education retirement was lurking in the back of his head. When Covid-19 hit, the decision to retire was made and the formulation of starting an art career began to form. Having worked as a Graphic Designer and having also designed many a set for the local community theater organization the thought of actually producing art as a part-time job took fruition. With that in mind, he decided to capture the beauty that only just dwelled in his head and display those feelings however he could visually. Whether it be photography, watercolor, painting or mixed media his need to present his world thru his artistic eyes is all that matters. I hope you have enjoyed viewing my work as much as I have had in creating it for you.
